Alternatives
BI-1 (I-5 Alignment) – Preferred Alternative
Alternative BI-1 would run
at-grade
north of SR 526 and then transition to an elevated profile before crossing over Broadway. The alignment would then follow the west side of I-5, transitioning to an at-grade profile south of 75th St SE. The alignment would continue to follow I-5, transitioning to an elevated profile south of Lowell Road. The height of the
guideway
would range between at-grade and an elevated guideway approximately 60 feet high.
BI-2 (Broadway Alignment)
Alternative BI-2 would run at-grade along the west side of Broadway from SR 526 with an undercrossing under Beverly Blvd and a short, elevated section north of 78th Place SE, returning to at-grade, then becoming elevated near 73rd St and continuing north along Broadway. The height of the guideway would range between an undercrossing approximately 30 feet deep and an elevated guideway approximately 55 feet high.
